Known for his pragmatism, versatility, and ability to bring together different areas of expertise, Simon supports the development of organizations, products, and digital projects by focusing on strategy, innovation, and business results.
He began his career in the retail technology sector and spent nearly twenty years with the ALDO Group. In 2014, Simon began his entrepreneurial journey by founding his first strategy-oriented agency. Two years later, he helped develop a mobile solution for Genesco, a major U.S. retailer.
In 2017, he joined DRAKKAR as a shareholder and Chief Digital Officer (CDO), before taking on the duties of Chief Information Officer (CIO). Through to 2025, he participated in several of the group’s initiatives focused on transformation, innovation, and strategic development, while also continuing his entrepreneurial activities and investments.
Particularly active in the media sector’s digital shift, Simon plays an important role in the development of Omerlo, a platform which has notably contributed to the digital transformation of CN2i, and is now being used by news outlet Le Devoir and several other organizations in both Canada and France.
Through deRabane and Omerlo, Simon continues to pursue the same vision: bringing strategy, creativity, content, and technology together in order to create more integrated experiences and solutions. He favours an entrepreneurial approach in which innovation must, above all, address concrete challenges and generate sustainable value for organizations.
